Lesson Policy 

 

 

 

Studio

・Students are expected to arrive for lessons on time with all their materials and music.

・Parents wait in their vehicle in the driveway, or run errands as long as they return to pick up student(s) in a timely fashion. If parents prefer come inside and sit to watch the lesson, please ask the teacher because every child reacts differently. Sometime when parents are present, it interferes with the learning process.

Practice and Instrument

・Private students are expected to practice daily on a well-maintained acoustic piano or full-sized(88keys)digital piano with a sustain pedal and good bench. Acoustic piano must be tuned regularly.

​

Attendance

・If a student is late for a lesson, they will only be thought for their remaining lesson time.

​

Lesson schedule

・I have reserved space for your student(s) with the understanding that we will have a lesson each week at that time. If a permanent conflict arises with this lesson time, please feel free to contact me to discuss alternate arrangements. I am happy to work with you to ensure a weekly lesson time that complements both of our schedules.

・The lesson length for each student is determined by teacher, lesson lengths are available in 30 minute, 45 minute or 60 minute increments.

・If you know of dates ahead of time where the student(s) cannot make a lesson, please notice us when you make a payment for the upcoming month.

 

Payments

・Tuition is due at the first piano lesson of each month. Lesson fees are calculated at the beginning of the each month for the upcoming month. 

・There is no contract.

・Payments may be made by cash, check(made out to Hiromi Nasife) or online (Venmo@ Hiromi_Nasife, Zelle)

・Tuition is not include lesson books and materials.

Missed lessons

・If you need to cancel lesson, you are required to notify us as soon as possible so the teacher can arrange the schedule for make-up lesson, however it’s not guaranteed. 

・There are no refunds if you miss or cancel a lesson.

​

Discontinuation of Lessons

・If for any reason the parent or student decides to terminate, please notify us a month prior otherwise no refunds will be issued for the rest of month’s lesson fee.

・I have the right to discontinue a student’s lesson at any time if they have excessive unpaid lesson fees, demonstrate an ongoing lack of preparedness for lessons or show no interest in continuing to study piano and regularly exhibit severe behavioral issues that the parents is unable to control.

Teacher Cancellation

・In the event that the teacher is unable to teach due to illnesses or other emergencies, lessons will be rescheduled or made up during the make-up session week.
